This year marks the 30th Anniversary of the annual tournament and we are very happy and thankful to say that the tournament has raised over $100,000 for the It Shouldn’t Hurt to be a Child Program in the last ten years alone. A big thank you to all the teams, sponsors, and volunteers that have made this tournament a success over the years! We look forward to another successful year in 2015.
We are committed to the protection of children through education. Through the “It Shouldn’t Hurt to be a Child” Program, we offer a wide variety of free child protection materials, as well as a nation-wide Child Id Kit Program, and a number of materials to help parents understand the importance of educating their children on personal safety. All of the funds used to operate the “It Shouldn’t Hurt to be a Child”Program come from the community through fundraising events such as the It Shouldn’t Hurt to be a Child Hockey Tournament. Proceeds from this year’s tournament will be used to continue the program.
